Pink

We are loved and cared groped and beaten We are asked to love  all that we are given We are looked upon  and stomped to the ground We are asked to stay even when we want to leave We are given a voice that is never heard We are given a choice that is never accepted And all along the way we are asked to fly But how can we fly  if we are thrust upon a cage A cage that is bound upon by people who swore to understand us and comfort us When will this end? When can we fly?                                - Sruthi Nair

Wedding Vows

Mountains may rise and fall  The sun might wither away  The sea might claim the land  And swallow the sky  Darkness might smother the light  And life might end  Nonetheless, you  You will always be mine.  The stars may even fall  From the black yonder, and The night might cloak the earth  Shrouding us in shadows  But until the end  Of obscurity  I will always be thine.                                          - Sruthi Nair

Humans

We can forgive and forget- although we seldom do. We can wash away sorrow- and redeem. We can hope and trust, and conduct acts of peity. We can be an ideal grace. Cause we - we are humans.                                               - Sruthi Nair

Home

Burden of my existence hovers upon my soul- My heart weary and cold I am lost to this madness. A sickness that can't be cured. Each breath lingers, waiting to be the last one. But this ride isn't mine I'm still waiting to be carried away into the depths of oblivion- Away from this madness To become one with the place- All come to. - Sruthi Nair

BEING YOU

What is life? Who are we? Why were we born? These are some questions that often baffle me. I wonder if there is a me somewhere out there in another dimension that ask the same questions. There are some things in life that we just know. How we know it or from where we learnt about it is always a mystery. Like, knowing that life is hard for everyone and we just have to be grateful for what we are given or that life will try to knock you down and we just have to get back up and fight. But, inspite of knowing all these, I really find life to be difficult sometimes. It may be the smallest of events, but sometimes it just gets you. What motivates me during those times are my comfort zones and when I see someone else in pain I share it with them. A hilarious example of this is all those times I tried to comfort people using french fries. I love french fries. They make me happy and puts me in my zone, which makes it my go to item whenever I feel a little down. So when I see someone else a litt...
