Musings of a confused butterfly

  All of us are familiar with the term soulmate. It is an idea that has been passed around forever. The definition of a soulmate is somewhat vague.  My definition of a soulmate is that, it is someone, who even in your darkest hour, could help you find those silvers of light once again. Someone who could face the horrors of life while standing strong at your side, fighting with you against whatever came. Someone who could make you feel safe no matter what happened, or how dark your day has been. Someone who in the face of fear and danger would stand firmly at your side, fighting through every second of it.  It sounds wonderful and dreamy right. One doesn't have to be a romantic to hope for a soulmate. No one ever really finds their soulmate, or so they say. Apparently finding your better half is more complicated than setting a pole vault record. It shouldn't be that hard right, finding your destined mate.  My weary soul-  And sorrow-filled head were terrorized from the smell, the smell of burning flesh and shattered love.
