TRUTH

I recently read an article that describes a research conducted on the visual cortex. It said that "seeing" is a construct of the mind and not a replica of "what's out there." I was mind blown from the implication that what we see is not actually the truth. Apparently our visual cortex only takes in those information that are necessary for our survival and discards the rest. So before we actually "see" what we are "seeing" our brain reduces, modifies, organizes and interprets our surrounding. Our brain selects what information is seen and discarded.
This survival strategy becomes more obvious when we study other animals. Most mammals can see UV light, including dogs, cats, ferrets, and reindeer. Scientists have known for decades that birds can see UV light because their eyes have an extra type of cone cell specifically tuned to detect those wavelengths. Bees, wasps, dragonflies and grasshoppers have 5 eyes. This enable these creatures to create complex visual representations of their environment, that we cannot. We are all cohabiting with vastly different perceptual interfaces, all constructing the reality we need to survive. This enables us to confront an infinitely complex universe and still thrive.
When the process of representing reality is impossible, constructing reality is a sufficient plan B. Our reality is a sum of everything that is real in our world. So the matrix of our reality comes from an incomplete perception of our world. Human mind shapes reality based on thoughts and beliefs. So our reality is actually our fantasy?
We live in a world where our behavior is shaped more by how we navigate our shared, fictional, mental models than by how we embody the natural forces that underlie them. We spent more time in the story of what happens in our lives than we do in contact with the true reality of any given situation. So we as a species have already accepted our imaginative reality, making us more susceptible to the Truth.

Take the red pill.

Harness your new powers.

With all the love in the world

Yours truly,
