Existential Crisis

 

Recently I had a lecture on intelligence. At one point it made me question my own intelligence. Towards the end, I started to question my own existence. Mind you, I have had an existential crisis since I was in second grade.

All of us go through this at least once in our life. We start to question our purpose, individuality, or even ourselves. 

Now, I don't know if there are correct answers to these questions. I don't think there ever can be a correct answer. These are subjective questions and their answers will vary based on the individual's framework. 

Then how do we satisfy this quest to know about our fundamental essence? How do we cope up with this existential crisis?

I believe we are born specifically for our lives. We are a perfect match for ourselves. So our existence is validated. 

All we can do amidst this chaos is find solace. I comfort myself by remembering that I am made of stardust that has passed through various supernovas. I am literally a star. We all are.

We try so hard to be a hero in our story that we forget to respect ourselves. We undervalue our capabilities and are quick to forgive those who wrong us. Stop doing that!

If you can't be a hero, then be a villain. If it's hard to see the light, then accept the darkness. Stop waiting for people and things to make you feel better. Embrace whatever it is you are. Be the villain you were born to be. 

Once we understand and accept who we are, we will realize that we are meant to be. 

All of us are important. We all have our part to do in this world.

It is okay to ask the big questions. It will help you grow and learn. It is okay to be doubtful. 

But it is not okay to put yourself down and deem your life worthless. It is absolutely not.

Just because things are not going the way you want them to go doesn't mean your life is pointless. Everything happens for a reason. Your past, present and future is a culmination of your destiny. 

Embrace it!

SS: Love

I have never told him I have been in love with him as far as I can remember. It's just one of those things that I know exist but chooses to ignore. He was in my every thought. My every breath. I woke up thinking of him. I went to bed thinking of him. My love for him was one of those cliches. But I never got to tell him I loved him. Years had passed since I last saw him. OBSESSION

Obsession is always seen as a negative thing. It's used as a negative comment. Apparently, this world thinks it's wrong to be overly passionate about something. Quit that thought! Do not apologize for being obsessed.  Obsession is a gift that not many has. Read your book the entire day. Stay all night working on your paper. Spend two hours making the perfect meal. Not all obsession is bad. Sometimes obsession just means you have more to offer. Learn to distinguish between good and bad. If you want perfection, go for it. Don't let anybody stop you from doing what you need to do.  You are who you are. There is no point trying to fit into a mold the world has made for you, you will never be comfortable.  Do not let the world drag you down. Love yourself! You are amazing!
