Double-edged Swords

 

We have all hurt someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. 

We have all loved someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. 

It is an intrinsic human trait and a deep responsibility, I think, to be both an organ and a blade. But, learning to forgive ourselves and others because we have not chosen wisely is what makes us mere humans. 

We make horrible mistakes. It's how we learn to be better.

We breathe love. It's how we learn to love better.

And it is inevitable. 

Believe unconditionally!

Masks

Recently I have had a lot of time to think about the various masks put on by humans. Each of us presents a different facade to different people, making it challenging to truly understand someone. Right now, I am at a stage where many things in my life are going wrong because of a version of me that existed and is now indigestible for my world. The question that keeps coming my way is, why that mask? Why put it on in the first place? The truth is, masks make us feel safe even when they get suffocating and unbearable. SS: Love

I have never told him I have been in love with him as far as I can remember. It's just one of those things that I know exist but chooses to ignore. He was in my every thought. My every breath. I woke up thinking of him. I went to bed thinking of him. My love for him was one of those cliches. But I never got to tell him I loved him. Years had passed since I last saw him. I had moved on with my life, trying to forget about him. But every now and then, I would think of him and wonder what could have been. It was a chilly winter night and I was walking down the street, lost in thought. That's when I saw him, standing at the end of the road, looking at me. As he walked towards me, I could feel my heart racing. It had been years. But at that moment it did not feel that way. Something in him called out to me. "Hey," he said, smiling. OBSESSION

Obsession is always seen as a negative thing. It's used as a negative comment. Apparently, this world thinks it's wrong to be overly passionate about something. Quit that thought! Do not apologize for being obsessed.  Obsession is a gift that not many has. Read your book the entire day. Stay all night working on your paper. Spend two hours making the perfect meal. Not all obsession is bad. Sometimes obsession just means you have more to offer. Learn to distinguish between good and bad. If you want perfection, go for it. Don't let anybody stop you from doing what you need to do.  You are who you are. There is no point trying to fit into a mold the world has made for you, you will never be comfortable.  Do not let the world drag you down. Love yourself! You are amazing!
