Happy Birthday my Love

Today is my best friend's birthday. On a good day, I feel like a shitty friend. Today is worse.

I have known my princess for 8 years now. In these 8 years, everything in my life has turned upside down, except her. She is my constant. Now I know it is wrong to place your happiness on one person. But my God there is not a single day this girl doesn't make me happy. So it becomes very difficult to keep my cool around her, especially knowing that she has this entire universe outside of our friendship that is so much better than anything I could ever give her. But that doesn't stop me from going hulk anytime anything remotely threatens us. I think it probably has to do with the fact that she came into my life when I was heartbroken. I was not even good to her but she wore me down and told me she is not leaving. I don't know what she saw in me all those years ago in that library, but I am grateful to her. She chose to stay when most left.

Now, baby I know I am missing your birthday again. There are only so many times I can promise to make it up to you, so this time I am going straight to the apology and writing you a letter.

Dear Princess,

You are beautiful, you are kind, you are intelligent and you are lovely. I don't think you are told how wonderful you are enough. Do you even know how special you are? 

There is no one like you. Not a single soul out of these 8 billion is as tightly bound to mine as yours is. You are so patient because you deal with me, my annoying habits, and my insecurities every day and you always come back to me, even if I push you away. I can tell you absolutely anything and you will listen. I can tell you the same story four times and you will laugh each time. 

I am so lucky to have you. You are worth everything on this Earth. And because you are you, I promise you this. 

I will always be here for you. I will be with you through thick and thin and everything in between. I will stand up for you when others who do not see your brilliance try to knock you down. 

Because you are my best friend;

Because I love you.

And nothing will ever change that.

You are my twin star

with different birth

My caring shadow

in depths of hell

My soul sings of you

You are my lighthouse

In dark ruthless waters

My Mentor

 Dear teacher, There are so many things I wish I had done differently. I wish I had asked that question or put a little more effort into that paper. I wish I had paid a little more attention to everything you had said. I wish I had told you how much you meant to me more often. I wish... I wish... I wish.. So for all those times, let me now tell you exactly how I feel.  To me you were everything. You were my teacher, friend, mentor and a parent. SS: Love

I have never told him I have been in love with him as far as I can remember. It's just one of those things that I know exist but chooses to ignore. He was in my every thought. My every breath. I woke up thinking of him. I went to bed thinking of him. My love for him was one of those cliches. But I never got to tell him I loved him. Years had passed since I last saw him. Soulmate

  All of us are familiar with the term soulmate. It is an idea that has been passed around forever. The definition of a soulmate is somewhat vague.  My definition of a soulmate is that, it is someone, who even in your darkest hour, could help you find those silvers of light once again. Someone who could face the horrors of life while standing strong at your side, fighting with you against whatever came. Someone who could make you feel safe no matter what happened, or how dark your day has been. Someone who in the face of fear and danger would stand firmly at your side, fighting through every second of it.  It sounds wonderful and dreamy right. OBSESSION

Obsession is always seen as a negative thing. It's used as a negative comment. Apparently, this world thinks it's wrong to be overly passionate about something. Quit that thought! Do not apologize for being obsessed.  Obsession is a gift that not many has. Read your book the entire day. Stay all night working on your paper. Spend two hours making the perfect meal. Not all obsession is bad. Sometimes obsession just means you have more to offer. Learn to distinguish between good and bad. If you want perfection, go for it. Don't let anybody stop you from doing what you need to do.  You are who you are. There is no point trying to fit into a mold the world has made for you, you will never be comfortable.  Do not let the world drag you down. Love yourself! You are amazing! COSMOS

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." Those who have read 'The Alchemist' might recognize this line. Most, know it as a famous Paulo Coelho quote. But how many of us truly believe it or at least has thought about it?  Most of us believe that our universe is indifferent to our actions. It doesn't lend a voice to our cries or an ear to our concerns. It doesn't magically solve our problems. It doesn't do miracles.  Now think a little bigger. Our Cosmos. Our never ending, all containing vast space or entity. It has everything and is everything. Is the cosmos ignorant to our plight and suffering? Is our misery lost in that vast space of infinite nothingness? Our misery and suffering and sadness is not lost or unheard. Its not ignored or overlooked. I believe every speck of us is important.
